All woods are kiln-dried, sourced responsibly, and finished with food-safe mineral oil, beeswax blends, or butcher block conditioners. These finishes enhance the natural properties of the wood while ensuring safety and easy maintenance. Wooden boards are naturally antimicrobial when properly cared for—far better than many people realize—and are USDA-approved for food use, including raw meat and poultry.
General Care Instructions for All Our Boards
· Wash with hot soapy water after each use; never soak.
· Dry upright or on edge for airflow.
· Re-oil regularly (every few weeks with heavy use) to prevent cracking and maintain the surface.
· Sanitize with a dilute bleach solution or vinegar as needed.
· Avoid dishwashers and extreme temperature changes.
